The Indian High School, Oud Metha Campus proudly announces the World Scholar’s Cup Winners of Dubai Regional Round-1

The Regional Round of the prestigious international academic program, The World Scholar’s Cup, took place on 26th and 27th November 2021 at the Sunmark School and The Indian High School, Oud Metha respectively.

The students of The Indian High School, Oud Metha once again excelled in the Regional Round-1 with 18 of our 22 teams qualifying for the Global Round. With 146 gold medals and 141 silver medals to their credit, the Junior and the Senior teams gained meritorious rankings and bagged the second and fifth position in overall performance.

In individual and team events, our students secured remarkable achievements in Debate, Creative Writing and Subject Challenges. The extraordinary performance by the team of Vanishri Shekhawat, Natasha Prashanth, and Ayushi Majumder from grade 9 brought them the 2nd rank overall in the Junior category. They also ranked 2nd in team Scholar Bowl and 3rd in Debate. Along with them, Kashvi Khare, Jenya Saini, and Sharanya Basu from grade 11 Science, ranked 5th overall in the Senior category, they also bagged 3rd position in team debate.

Ann Mary Joseph grade 7 I, Aashika Singh grade 6 A, and Niya Susan Syam grade 6 A ranked 2nd in the Team Debate in the Junior category. Ann Mary Joseph was also selected to showcase the debate during the closing ceremony.

Under individual performance in the Junior category, Pranav Sidharthan Nair of grade 8 U secured the Top place in Social Science subject. Vanishri Shekhawat grade 9B and Arshita Lakhani grade 11 Commerce C won the title of the Top Scholars from the school in the Junior and Senior category respectively. Arshita also secured 4th place in debate and Creative Writing.

The Indian High School, Oud Metha wishes these budding scholars loads of good luck for the Global Round in the month of December 2021.
