School–community partnerships at the Indian High School help implement a system of integrated services for students of determination, often providing supports and resources to meet staff, family, and student needs that go beyond what is typically available through the school. Reciprocally, community partners benefit from their relationships with the school, including learning about schools’ inclusive culture. We have agreements with the following local organizations.

  • Dubai Autism Center (DAC)
  • Al Jalila Foundation
  • Rashid Centre for Disabled
  • Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities

We involve our students in a range of purposeful projects that contribute positively to their personal and moral development. Links with other schools and charity work support students’ social development. Participation in community programmes like the Indian Republic day celebration, ‘Beat Diabetes’ walk, beach cleanup drives, MUN and Round Square initiatives, strengthen students partnership and community spirit.

  • Contributions and student visits to philanthropic/humanitarian organisations help to forge community connections.
  • The Moral education community action project-Sal@h encourages students to take up community service.
  • We are constantly striving to enhance an effective communication channel between parents and the school. Parental involvement through parent focus groups makes a significant contribution to students’ learning.
  • Parent talk/sessions for students are built to enhance the learning experiences of students, and positively impact their achievements.
