
Words, Wit and Wins: The Indian High School, Oud Metha shines at Al-Ihtifal 2025

Competing against leading schools across the UAE, The Indian High School, Oud Metha campus learners showcased their exceptional linguistic ability and creative flair, bagging two awards at Al-Ihtifal 2025, an inter-school languages competition hosted by Delhi Private School, Sharjah, on 5th November, 2025.
In the English Graphic Story Writing competition, The Indian High School team secured two second prizes, impressing the judges with their imaginative storytelling, expressive visuals, and cohesive teamwork. Our learners’ entries stood out for its originality, depth of message, and stunning artwork that reflected the ‘Frames of Fantasy.’
Adrit Vipindas (5W) and Vighnesh Kumaramangalam (5W) bagged the second place for the theme: ‘Community – forging friendship with language’, while Meera Rahul Balkawade (5J) and Aahan Deepak Mahajan (5X) secured second position for the theme ‘Heroes Around Us – Making a Difference for a Better Tomorrow.’
In the Hindi Ad-Making Competition, a dynamic event celebrating creativity, humour, and persuasive communication, the school claimed the third position. Their eco-themed advertisement, enhanced by an engaging jingle and strong visual appeal, was commended for presentation, coordination, and stage presence. The winning team comprised Sanvi Srivastava (5H), Aditri Jha (5E), Meera Rahul Balkawade (5J), and Aahana Saha (5K).
